Print and Hang
I'm unabashedly mimicking 119 MInistries, which gave me the idea for an anti-Halloween sign. I wanted slightly different wording and verses than they had on their version, so I decided to make my own. I hope that it will be useful to you as well. One thing that has recently struck me as a telling indicator is that non-Christians in my country have been pushing to take Christ out of Christmas, but those same people seem to have no problem with the religious underpinnings of Halloween. Why is an Occult-centric holiday okay by them, but a Christian-centric holiday isn't? Hmmm. Death and the grave are our enemies, and Elohiym has promised to destroy them at the end of the Messianic age (Rev. 20;14). And anything related to witchcraft, sorcery, divining, and speaking with the dead will be done away with and never heard of again (Deut. 18:9-13). We simply have no reason to celebrate any of these things at any time. If you want to have a costume party and eat candy, go ahead, but I recommend picking another day to do it, because we are instructed to abstain from even the appearance of evil (1 Thess. 5:22). |
