I learned the Bible moderately well while growing up, but in all of my childhood years I never noticed something that should have been obvious. I never clued in to the fact that the name and title of the Most High God (Elohiym) was built into the names of many biblical characters. My ignorance of the words Yah and El, and of the Hebrew language in general, caused me to miss out on part of the message of the Hebrew scriptures.
So many of the prophets and heroes of our faith had names that praised YHVH in some fashion. Below is a list of the most well-known names and their meanings.
How would you respond if a true prophet of YHVH came on the scene calling down plagues from heaven while preaching repentance, and shooting fire from his mouth to consume anyone who dares attack him? I hope that your response would be to cheer him on, listen to him carefully, and get everyone you know to pay attention to him.
Not only will we be given one such prophet, we will be given two at the same time, and they are coming within our lifetimes. According the prophecy within the Book of Revelation, their ministry will begin seven years before the return of Y'shua, and will last for exactly three-and-a-half years, until the Antichrist murders them. The last book of the Bible does not tell us who these men will be, but if we search through some lesser-known scriptures we may find some clues about their identities.
After being instructed by the glorified Y'shua to write letters to seven congregations in Asia (which stand for the seven kinds of assemblies that exist leading up to the last days), the apostle John was taken in the spirit to heaven, where he witnessed Y'shua as the Lamb of God, breaking open the seals on a scroll. The breaking of each scroll triggered an event. The first four scrolls brought out four horses of different colors, each with a rider whose purpose was to negatively affect life on earth in a particular way.
The first horse was a white one, and he who sat on it held a bow. The rider was given a crown and sent forth to conquer. He is by far the most enigmatic of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. What is his identity? Has he already been released, or is he yet to come? What will he be conquering? We're going to take a look for clues in several places, and what we find may not conclusively solve the mystery, but we will at least end up with a viable theory.
Believe it or not, the Creator wants to have a say in how we clothe ourselves. Many believers acknowledge that YHVH is concerned with how much—nix that: how little—clothing we wear, but far fewer realize that YHVH is also concerned with what kinds of clothing we wear. According to Leviticus 19:19 and Deuteronomy 22:11, members of Yah's kingdom are not permitted to wear garments of mixed wool and linen. No explanation is given as to why this is the case; we're simply told that this combination, called shatnez in Hebrew, is off limits.
Wool and linen fabrics are amazing except when used together. When combined in a garment or outfit, these individually helpful textiles become harmful in some way that we don't fully understand. Moreover, there are spiritual ramifications to mixing wool and linen, which you can read more about below. I've personally committed to not ever wearing an outfit (or using bed coverings) involving both of those fabrics, and I'm also striving to phase out wardrobe items made with artificial textiles.

8 Keys to Personal Moral Excellence While LIving in Spiritual Egypt
"Y'shua told him, 'Whoever has already bathed needs only to wash his feet, and he will be completely clean'" (John 13:10).
Those who have repented and been baptized into Messiah's name have been made spiritually clean. Yet, as with the disciples' feet that Y'shua washed, the part of ourselves that contacts the earth—our fleshly or material man—must be subjected to the spirit and purified. This life-changing eBook, provided at no cost, aims to help believers live beyond reproach in a morally bankrupt world.
